Inflammatory Condition

Would you like to know what lab results mean? Medical Tests Analyzer Software helps to understand and explains your blood test.

A localized protective response resulting from injury or destruction of tissues. Inflammation serves to destroy, dilute, or wall off both the injurious agent and the injured tissue. In the acute phase, inflammation is characterized by the signs of pain, heat, redness, swelling, and loss of function. Histologically, inflammation involves a complex series of events, including dilatation of arterioles, capillaries, and venules, with increased permeability and blood flow; exudation of fluids, including plasma proteins; and leukocyte migration into the site of inflammation. Many of the signs of inflammatory disease are the same as those you may experience with the flu. These can include fever, chills, loss of appetite, and fatigue. Redness and swollen joints, joints being warm to the touch, and even loss of joint function are common with the onset of inflammatory disease. While most of the symptoms associated with inflammatory disease will be experienced one at a time, it is possible to suffer some of them simultaneously. These can include muscle stiffness, joint pain and stiffness and headaches.
